RESTON, Va. – Governor Bob McDonnell (web | bio) , R-Va., has taken up the cause of the unemployed Wednesday night, trumpeting his plan to create roughly 30,000 jobs.
With Virginia’s unemployment rate still hovering around a 27-year high and 100,000 jobs lost in 2009, local businesses say it’s good to see that McDonnell has his priorities straight.
Thousands of Sprint employees used to eat lunch at Reston Kabob. But after the 2009 layoffs, Manager Masoud Shoja never saw them again.
